Symptoms of Malware (Viruses, Spyware, Adware, etc)
- pop-up windows, particularly advertisements, that won't go away
- your network connection is plugged in, but you are unable to see web pages
- toolbars, desktop shortcuts, or other software you didn't install
- internet searches redirect you to pages you've never been to and didn't intend to visit
- antivirus or spyware protection programs won't open, install or update
- your computer is sluggish, locks up or crashes frequently, or just isn't as fast as it used to be
